Digital security firm Avast has found some similar apps on the Google Play Store that are targeting gamers. Popular video game Minecraft users in particular are being targeted by this.
According to Avast, Fleeceware apps cheat users from money. With the help of new skins, interesting wallpapers and game modifications in mobile, users also fraudulently make money.
This security firm has found that there are seven apps that are on the Google Play Store and these are Fleeceware apps. Apps in this category give attractive offers for three days on a free trial and then deduct 30 $ from your account every week.
This app is designed in such a way that users do not know its subscription charge and they forget after taking trial of this app. In this way, these apps then deduct money from their account.
Avast has said in a statement, 'Those people who do not read the details of every app before downloading it, such fraud is targeted only to those people. Young children are particularly at risk from this scam, because they subscribe, but do not read the details.
Avast has released the list of these apps. This firm has also said that some of these apps have been downloaded more than 1 million times. Avast has also advised to remove these applications from the phone and cancel the subscription.
